Young men leaving Feltham have the opportunity to access a faith support network in the communities to which they are returning and are given a real chance not to re-offend.
In partnership with the Prison Service, other appropriate organisations and faith communities we aim to:
Provide care and support for young offenders of any faith or none
Promote healing and a change of heart
Help the young men we work with meet their practical needs for successful living without re-offending
Foster their personal growth and development, helping them build stable relationships within a faith or other supporting community, so that they come to lead fulfilling lives.
FCCT is passionately committed to supporting young people being released from Feltham to enable them to re-settle into their own communities. Only if there is an effective bridge between prison and the community can offenders really have any hope of leading a crime-free life. Many of the young offenders returning to London come from faith communities. Others do not. In either case FCCT aims to provide them with a vital link between prison and the society to which they return.
Working in partnership with the wide range of faith communities in London FCCT trains and supports volunteer mentors from the communities, so as to empower them in their efforts to re-integrate these young men who are often living on the margins of society.
